AUBURN – Mary Adeline Boyker, 89, of Farmington, died Monday, March 26, at the Hospice House in Auburn, with her daughter Penny and her son-in-law, Kevin, at her side.
She was born on Prince Edward Island in Canada on March 8, 1918, the daughter of Sophia and Andrew Doucette.
She attended school in Farmington and worked for many years at Forster Manufacturing in Wilton. After retirement, she provided in-home assistance and care to several people in the Farmington area. She was an avid reader and supporter of the Franklin County Animal Shelter. She made wonderful fudge, needhams and handmade mittens.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Carolyn Boyker of Farmington; her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Kevin McKenna; and her grandchildren, Chris Muir and Kate McKenna of Augusta.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Eldon and Lawrence Doucette; her sister Josephine Gerrity; and her son Edwin Boyker.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Ed Ringel, his office assistant Bobbie, Bonnie Fitch and the staff of Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Roger Austin, and the staff of Hospice House for their kindness and their care.
