MEXICO – Virgil Blaisdell, 85, died Saturday, March 31, at his home in Mexico.
Born in Rumford on Feb. 12, 1922, he was a son of Cony and Mary (Hasett) Blaisdell. He attended Rumford schools.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a pipefitter for Swan’s Plumbing and was also a custodian for SAD 43.
Survivors include two sons, Virgil Blaisdell Jr of Florida and Billy Blaisdell of Massachusetts; four daughters, Penny McDonald of California, Debbie Blaisdell of Mexico, Cindy Blaisdell of Mexico and Pam Blaisdell of California; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
