I am so frustrated by the people who are pushing pre-kindergarten and an extended school year.
The governor is trying to consolidate education to save tax dollars, and those people are just adding to the cost of education. Are they turning a deaf ear to the governor and the taxpayers altogether?
The governor stated that student numbers are decreasing, so why would anyone want to add an unnecessary burden to the schools by adding pre-K? Four-year-olds are babies, and should not be placed in such a structured atmosphere. And then there are people trying to add more days to the school year.
How badly do they want to get rid of their children?
Shortening vacations will not provide children with a better education. If people would spend more time with their children discussing world affairs, experiencing life with them and helping them with school work it would help them get a better education.
Quality not quantity, please.
