FARMINGTON – June Dragoon of Hillside Art Gallery in West Peru will be the featured artist for April at Heirlooms of Tomorrow Gallery.
Dragoon has studied with a number of well-known artists and works in a variety of mediums. She said, “Painting gives me a new way of looking at the world.”
Dragoon has participated in many gallery and sidewalk shows. Her work has been chosen for decorating at several hospitals and educational institutions and is in private collections throughout the world.
Dragoon said she enjoys painting New England scenes and florals. She has an adventurous spirit and enjoys mountain climbing, especially Mt. Katahdin and the Knife’s Edge. She is an enthusiastic camper and alpine skier.
An open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 6, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7. The public is invited and refreshments will be provided. Dragoon’s work will be on display throughout April.
Heirlooms of Tomorrow is located on Routes 2 and 4, 710 Wilton Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
