NORWAY – Two more potential candidates for town offices are circulating their names for the annual election in June.

Town Clerk Shirley Boyce said Monday that incumbent Donald Ware has taken out nomination papers for a position on the SAD 17 board. Hillary Ware has taken out nomination papers for an open seat on the Norway Memorial Library Board of Trustees.

Library Trustees Dennis Gray, Lynette Gatchell and Charles Longley are also up for re-election but have not yet taken out papers.

Four people are also circulating nomination papers for two open seats on the Board of Selectmen. They include incumbent Robert Walker, former Selectwoman Irene Millett, volunteer firefighter Joseph Tracey, and Bruce Cook, a budget committee member.

Three-term Selectman George Tibbetts Jr., whose seat is up for re-election, said last week that he hasn’t yet decided whether he will run again.

Nomination papers must have 25 registered voters and be returned to the town clerk’s office by April 30. There are 3,700 registered voters in town.

The election is set for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 12 at the Norway Fire Station.
