BRUNSWICK – The community is invited to read Jane Austen’s novel “Northanger Abbey,” then attend a book lecture by Ann Kibbie, Bowdoin College associate professor of English, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Cleaveland Hall, Room 151.

Kibbie has been a member of the Bowdoin faculty since 1989. She teaches courses in restoration and 18th-century theater, poetry, novels, and non-fiction prose.

Bowdoin Book Lectures are open to the public and will include time for questions. Admission is free.
