LEWISTON – Sherry A. Woodcock, 60, of Leeds, died Monday, April 2, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born, Oct. 20, 1946, in Farmington, a daughter of James Flagg and Audrey (Lilley) Butterfield. She attended Livermore Falls schools and later graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington. She worked as a fourth grade teacher in the Hartford Sumner school system.

On Jan. 12, 1974 she married, Bernard “Bernie” Woodcock Sr. in Lewiston.

She enjoyed crafts of all sorts, particularly sewing, and children and animals. She will be sadly missed by all who had a chance to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard “Bernie” Woodcock Sr. of Leeds; three stepsons, Bernard “Woody” Woodcock Jr. of Auburn, Gary Woodcock of Farmington, and Albert Woodcock of Jay; a stepdaughter Karen Pantinas and her husband, Chuck, of Newton, N.H.; brother Jim Flagg; two sisters, Michelle and Belinda Flagg; former sister-in-law Carol Taylor of Farmington, and her son, Michael McDonald and his wife, Jeannine, of Farmington; an aunt, Jeannette Flagg of New Sharon; an uncle, Roy Lilley of Jacksonville, Fla.; one niece and nephew; and several step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, David McDonald; and her stepfather, Burt Butterfield.
