JAY – Jay Elementary School kindergarten and pre-kindergarten registration and screening will be by appointment only.

Kindergarten registration is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26. Incoming pre-kindergarten students will be registered on Fridays, May 4 and 11. Call 897-5719 to schedule an appointment.

The child must be age 5 for kindergarten and 4 for pre-kindergarten registration on or before Oct. 15. It is necessary to have the child’s original birth certificate, current immunization record and social security number at the time of registration.

A certified copy of a child’s birth certificate can be picked up at the town office where the child was born or at the town where the parents were residing in at the time of the birth. The cost in Jay for a birth certificate is $10 for the first copy and $5 for each additional copy. Kindergarten-age children residing in Jay must register for the fall.
