LEWISTON – A tour of the Stonewall Kitchen production facilities in York has been planned by Lewiston Adult Education for Friday, April 13. A bus will be leave from the Lewiston park and ride lot at 7:30 a.m.
After a stop in Gray to pick up other participants, the bus will arrive in York at mid-morning for a tour and presentation of the factory and warehouse. Lunch will be available for purchase at the on-site cafe. The bus will return to Lewiston about 5 p.m.
Lewiston Adult Ed will also visit the Willowbrook Museum in Newfield on Saturday, June 2. The bus will leave from the Lewiston park and ride at 8 a.m. After a stop in Gray, the bus will arrive at the museum so participants can begin their self-guided tour of some of the 37 buildings.
Girls age 8 to 12 will be invited to participate in a brief tea party, like a modern American Girl. Lunch will be available to purchase at the country store or on-site cafe. The bus will return to Lewiston around 5 p.m. The tea is available for children 8 to 12 who are accompanied by an adult.
