LEWISTON – A meeting to plan what the Lewiston-Auburn community can do to reduce global warming pollution will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lewiston Public Library.
At the “Cool Solutions in L-A” meeting speakers will talk about the Cool Communities Project, explain what other communities are doing about global warming and what could be done in Lewiston-Auburn.
Across Maine and the country, people are taking action locally by creating and implementing smart energy strategies to reduce greenhouse gas pollution.
On Monday, representatives from Maine Partners for Cool Communities will describe the successes and challenges of Maine communities.
The meeting will be held in Callahan Hall of the library. Refreshments will be served and gifts will be given to the first 50 guests.
“Cool Solutions in L-A” is sponsored by the Sierra Club, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Maine Blueprint and the Maine People’s Alliance.
