SUMNER – Scot and Thelma Kendall celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 18. The couple spent the day at their home in Sumner, where friends and family gathered with them to celebrate.
Mr. and Mrs. Kendall were joined by 24 close friends and family members. The guests traveled from as close as across the road to as far away as Norfolk, Va. Family members in attendance included the couple’s three children, five of their grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Guests were treated to a variety of food, including homemade chicken salad, lasagna, soups and an elaborate cake baked for them by a good friend.
The former Thelma Pressey and Scot Kendall were married on March 18, 1947, in Farmington. Every member of their family has learned some important lessons from them and their experiences as part of the “Greatest Generation.”
