I just couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the Sun Journal headlines (March 31) regarding the shooting on Minot Ave. I understand that the newspaper wants to print the most accurate story, and that editors were trying to give readers an idea of what the crime scene looked like, but with all the modern technology today, you cannot tell me that the picture of that poor lady couldn’t have been blurred out.
There is no need to show anyone a picture like that just for accuracy’s sake. Let the poor woman rest in whatever peace she had. It was bad enough that she had to lay out there for hours while her son held police at bay without making her a spectacle.
Talk about the desensitizing of America.
