Upon picking up my newspaper from my front stoop Saturday morning, I saw the picture of Mrs. Margaret Peters spread out on the ground in front of her house. She had been there for a long time. The woman was apparently killed by her son, and was the top story of March 31.

While this is certainly an unusual event in our area, the sensationalism the Sun Journal created with that picture, an irresponsible design, has angered me.

I come from a large family, including six grandchildren. I feel it is important that the Sun Journal’s editors consider the effect such a picture would have on the family members of the slain woman. Imagine the teasing some of the family’s children could receive in school due to the fact that picture was printed?

My heart goes out to the entire Peters family, while the Sun Journal seems to be set on selling news in the most shocking manner possible.

That picture will remain in the memory of many people. Some of them are at a very young and innocent age and some could have loved her deeply.

The Sun Journal’s lack of respect has me ashamed to subscribe to your newspaper.
