AUBURN – Helen A. Langelier, 79, of 41 Mellon Street, Lewiston, died Friday, April 6, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, Home Care and Hospice in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston, March 31, 1928, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Collins Moyes. Educated locally, she was married to Richard Langelier, June 15, 1946.
A member of Holy Family Church, she served as a volunteer in the St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center gift shop for the past 13 years. In addition to her volunteer work, she enjoyed travel, knitting, bird-watching and gardening, especially tending her flowers.
Survivors include her loving husband, Richard, of Lewiston; a son, Robert and wife, Kathleen, of Turner; five daughters, Kathy Remillard of Oxford, Jane and husband; Thomas Castle; of Lewiston, Pat and husband; Richard McKeen; of Freeport, Sue and husband, Joseph Langlois, of Auburn, and Ann and husband, Jeffrey Reiss, of Christmas, Fla.; a sister, Emily and husband, Maurice Renaud, of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Tommy, who passed away in 1970.
