The Maine State Senate passed a resolution honoring the late Lew Perkins of Livermore on March 22. The resolution was presented to the family and at the end of the day the Senate session was closed in Perkins’ honor. Perkins was an upholsterer in the Auburn-Lewiston area and Livermore. He also upholstered furniture for the Senate. Perkins was recognized by Peggy Rotundo. Rep. L. Gary Knight of Livermore Falls was a co-sponsor of the resolution, but was unable to attend the session.
