FARMINGTON – An informational meeting for the Mt. Blue Tennis Court Project will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Mt. Blue High School library.
Members of the Mt. Blue girls and boys tennis teams will serve refreshments and there will be speakers from the project team and the tennis teams. A scaled drawing of the project will be shown. Updates on grants and related applications will be given. Following presentations, time will be available for questions and comments.
The Mt. Blue High School girls tennis team is one of the most successful athletic programs at the school, according to athletic Director Scott Walker. Presently the students who compete for Cougar tennis teams have to be bussed off of school property to Wilton and/or Hippach Field to practice and play matches on two courts.
The intention of the project is to benefit not only the students at Mt. Blue and area SAD 9 schools, but the greater Franklin County tennis community as well.
Any and all interested parties are invited to attend. For information, contact Bob Greene at [email protected].
