RUMFORD – A memorial service for Joseph Roger Petrie was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid,” “Let There Be Peace On Earth” and “Taps.”

Readings were done by Jeannette Petrie and Malinda McKinnon. A poem was read by Gloria Provencher and Priscilla “Cilla” Prevost. Pallbearers were Paul Arsenault, Fern Dumoulin, Tony Poirier and Rodney Kuhl. Spring interment will be at St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
