AUBURN – The New Auburn Seniors will host a ham dinner with all the fixings at noon Wednesday, April 18, at the St. Louis Church Basement Hall. Cost is $4. The increase in cost is for this dinner only.

A meeting was held on April 4 with President Virginia Levasseur presiding. April birthdays were noted, small gifts given and “Happy Birthday” was sung by all. Trips being offered are a Horizons Edge Casino cruise in Lynn, Mass., for a cost of $53. Included is the bus ride, buffet and entertainment. There will be a day trip to Foxwoods on May 8 for $34. New members welcomed were Ernest Arsenault, Angie Vallee and Richard Vallee.

A fundraiser is being held for St. Louis Church with the possibility of benefit to the New Auburn Seniors if members sell the most tickets. Cost is $100 a ticket and friends can pool together and their names will be on the ticket. Only 500 tickets will be sold. First prize is $10,000; second and third prizes will be $3,500; fourth and fifth will be $1,000; and sixth will be $500. Call Virginia at 783-0273 for more information.

Members are planning a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, at the St. Louis Church basement hall, with all proceeds to go to the New Auburn Seniors. Those who have items they want to donate may drop them off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday. They do not want clothes.

Pot of gold winners were Ronald Cote, Lorraine Poirier and Mary Lawlor. The meeting adjourned and a light lunch was served. Open bingo for seniors 60 and over will be held Wednesdays, April 11 and 25.
