Skowhegan – Charles T. Skidgell, 56, of Madison, died Wednesday, April 11, at the Redington-Fairview General Hospital, in Skowhegan.
He was born June 18, 1950, in Rumford, the son of Amzy and Helen (Butters) Skidgell.
He has been a resident of Madison for the past seven years, and previously lived in Bingham.
He was a heavy equipment operator who loved John Deere tractors.
The family would like to thank those from the Madison Highway Dept., and Merle Lloyd and Son, Inc., who were always stopping by to see Charlie or help out any way they could.
Survived by his wife, Deanna Skidgell of Madison; his daughters, Kristen Medeiros and her husband Cliff, and Shelby Skidgell; stepdaughters, Tracy Farmer and her husband, Josh, of Bingham, Lori Blaisdell of Fairfield, and Kelly Blaisdell of Waterville; four grandsons; and three granddaughters; sisters, Marilyn Labbe of Standish, Lorraine Therbage and her husband, Ed, of Bangor, and Joyce Whittemore and her husband, Don, of Lisbon; brothers, William Skidgell and his wife, Brenda, of Dixfield, and Roland and his wife, Nancy, of Carthage; a very special niece, Wendy Collins of Wilton; many nieces and nephews; and his special friend Casper.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Everett Skidgell; and a sister, Loretta Flagg.
