LEWISTON – A Funeral Mass for Rosaire D. Pelletier was held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Lariviere celebrated the Mass, and Brother Richard recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of Mass, the pall was placed on the casket by Mr. Pelletier’s family, Babara, Norman Jr. and Matthew Lamare. The readings were read by Brenda Fontaine and Matthew Lamare. The Intercessions were read by Norman Lamare Jr. The offertory was brought up to the altar by Barbara, Norman Jr. and Matthew Lamare. At the conclusion of Mass, Mr. Pelletier’s grandson, Matthew, played and sang a song “You’re Gone,” by Diamond Rio, with his guitar in tribute to his grandfather. Following the committal at the cemetery Matthew Lamare played “Amazing Grace” with his violin. Military Honors from the U.S. Army played “Taps” and presented our country’s flag to Mr. Rosaire’s grandson, Matthew Lamare. It was Mr. Pelletier’s wish along with Matthew’s parents that Matthew Lamare receive the American Flag for the services rendered by his grandfather. The pallbearers were Gary Charest, Claude Fontaine, Mike Fortier, Ron Kyllonen, Fern Lamare, Richard Morin, and Keith and Justin Wood. A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the committal services at the cemetery. Arrangements by the family owned Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
