NORWAY – Lawrence Pierce has met all eligibility requirements for recertification in pharmacotherapy, Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook, announced.
Pierce has been a pharmacist for more than 30 years. He has been employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital since September 2001. He was promoted to the director of pharmacy position four years ago.
Recertification in pharmacotherapy is a comprehensive process involving written examinations and completion of continuing education training. Board certified pharmacotherapy specialist is the pharmacy’s highest credential and demonstrates a complete grasp of the skills and the knowledge to provide the best care to patients in need of pharmaceutical care.
