LEWISTON – Doris G. Morency, 82, of 211 Randall Road, Lewiston, died Friday, April 13, at her home.

She was born in Lewiston on May 15, 1924, daughter of Arthur and Eva (Morin) Landry. She was educated at Holy Cross School and Lewiston High School.

She was married April 19, 1947, to Roger W. Morency of Lewiston, who passed away on Jan. 22, 1993.

Mrs. Morency was a member of Holy Cross Parish where she was a Eucharistic minister for many years. She was also active in the Holy Cross Prayer Community, the volunteers, the Holy Cross Senior Citizens and the Holy Cross Faith Sharing Community.

She was an avid nature lover, enjoying the beauty that Maine has to offer.

She is survived by four sons, Richard Morency and wife, Barbara, of Shrewsbury, Mass., the Rev. Raymond Morency of Presque Isle, Donald Morency and wife, Susan, of Old Orchard Beach, and Michael Morency and wife, Katherine, of Auburn.

She had six grandchildren, Jennifer, Mary, Angela, Ryan, Pamela and Ethan; and four great-grandchildren, Shane, Katy, Joelle and Macy; a sister, Therese Morency and husband, Normand, of Lewiston; and a brother, Gerald Landry and wife, Gilberte, of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Mignonne Landry, Grace Groleau and Fernande Nadeau.
