AUBURN – Eric A. Johnson, 59, of Russell Avenue, passed away on Monday, April 16, at the Hospice House.

He was born in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 29, 1947, the son of Donald and Sylvia (York) Johnson.

He grew up in Center Ossippee, N.H., and attended the University of Southern Maine, where he received his bachelor’s degree in communication.

He worked for 20 years as a commercial fisherman and was most recently employed at Shad’s Advertising in Auburn.

He enjoyed sailing and playing pool and participating in activities with his dogs, Lizzie and Bonus.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Labrie; daughter, Nikki Johnson; and brothers, Donald Johnson and Kirk Johnson.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Reita Eldridge.
