LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Hilaire St. Pierre was held Tuesday morning at Holy Family Church, with the Rev. Antonio Amato celebrating the Mass. During Mass, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Clayton brought the Offertory to the Altar before Communion.

At the conclusion of Mass, Susan Clayton shared words of remembrance. Then the funeral procession proceeded to the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, where the Rev. Gilbert Patenaude recited committal prayers.

At the conclusion of prayers, the U.S. Army honor guard played “Taps” and presented our country’s flag to his stepdaughter, Susan Clayton. A reception of fellowship then followed at the Chic-A-Dee Restaurant in Lewiston.
