LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating a break-in at the high school that was reported by a SAD 36 custodian early Tuesday morning. A juice machine in the cafeteria was vandalized and an undisclosed amount of money taken from it.
The point of entry, which was unknown early Tuesday afternoon, is under investigation, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. There was no apparent damage to doors or windows, he said.
The compartment holding the money was pried open, but only paper currency was taken, he said.
No other vending machines in the school appeared to be damaged, he said.
