FARMINGTON – Adults and children in grades 5 and up are invited to sign up to sing in the Foothills Arts Center’s multimedia production “Hurricane of Change.” This celebration of our natural world, along with a call to action to save it, features original music, theater scenes, shadow puppets, poetry, and parade-sized creature masks – all created and performed by local adults and students.

Chorus rehearsals are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning April 26, at Mt. Blue Middle School. Besides Thursdays, there will be some rehearsals on selected Tuesday evenings. No previous choral experience is necessary. All are welcome.

This community chorus will join the 100 voices of the Mt. Blue Middle School Chorus for “Hurricane of Change” performances at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, and Friday, June 1, at Mt. Blue Middle School.

The “Hurricane of Change” script offers a combination of serious, thought-provoking scenes and light, funny moments concerning environmental threats to Mother Earth. Also included will be ideas on steps we can all take to preserve what we have. More than 200 adults and students will take part in the performance.

For more information on the project and to sign up for the chorus, contact Foothills Arts Center Director Anne Geller at 778-0448; or [email protected].
