LEWISTON – JoyCe E. Hinkley, of Turner, died unexpectedly at CMMC on April 16, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 28, 1939, in Hartland, the fifth of eight children born to Walter and Edmey Lane. She attended local schools, and in 1957, married Russell Hinkley Sr., of Turner.

Together, Russ and JoyCe raised five children while owning and operating Hinkley Oil Company of Turner. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

She leaves behind many friends in the Turner community and the St. Petersburg, Fla., area. She was much loved and her loss will be felt by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Hinkley Sr.; two sisters, Sandra Durgin and Rosemarie Welton, both of Auburn; one brother, Donald Lane and wife, Helga, of Massachusetts; three sons, Russell Jr. and wife, Becky, of Lewiston, Randy and wife, Brenda, of Turner, and Richard of Turner; their two daughters, Jody and husband, Pete Gagnon, of Turner, and Julie and husband, Dave Saucier, of Auburn; grandchildren, Lisa, Kim, Stephen, Chad, Eric, Karisa, Corey, Meghan, Brandon, Amanda, Cody, Jorden, Rylee and Cassie; and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Larry, Charlie and Dickey; one sister, Sheila; very special friends, Ray Joulbert and Bubs Pearl; and brother-in-law, Richard Durgin.
