LEWISTON – Clayton F. Bubier, 74, a resident of Sprague Mills Road, Greene, died very unexpectedly Wednesday evening, April 18, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Greene, the son of Forrest and Beatrice (Pettengill) Bubier. He attended local schools.

He was a self-employed farmer, a livestock dealer, and also ran Bubier Meats. On June 14, 1953, in Greene, he married Glenice Chateauvert. He was a member of Ashlar Lodge 105, and Androscoggin Valley Square and Compass Club.

He enjoyed going to his camp at Allen Pond, as well as his childrens’ camps on No Name Pond, Bear Pond and Langtown. He was a devoted and loving husband and father, he loved to be surrounded by his family. He loved to go to the livestock auctions with his brother, Gerald, raising his baby chickens and also picking up his livestock for the farm, which gave him the chance to visit with his fellow farmers and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. “We love you.”

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Glenice of Greene; a son, Wayne Bubier and his wife, Becki, of Greene; two daughters, Tricia Morris and her husband, Gary, of Hartford, and Carol Buzzell and her husband, Merton, of Greene; three brothers, Kenneth Bubier and his wife, Evie, Phillip Bubier and his wife, Betty, and Gerald Bubier and his wife, Barbara, all of Greene; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; a stepsister, Vira McManis of Greene; and a stepbrother, Roland Jordan and his wife, Martha, of Turner.

He was predeceased by a brother, David Bubier; and a stepsister, Faye Palmer.
