JAY – Teachers, natural resource specialists, homeschoolers and community volunteers are invited to attend an activity-based hands-on Project Learning Tree kindergarten to grade eight educator workshop from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 17 and June 7, at Jay Elementary School.
Trained facilitators will introduce the activity guide that integrates all areas of the curriculum and is aligned with the Maine Learning Results. Snacks will be provided at each session.
Project Learning Tree is an internationally recognized environmental education program. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary activities, the curriculum provides students with opportunities to investigate environmental issues and encourages them to make informed and responsible decisions.
The workshop is limited to 20 people and the registration deadline is May 10. The $25 fee covers the cost of the activity guide, handouts and snacks. Dress for outdoor walking and exploring. For information and registration information, contact Pat Maloney, 626-7990 or [email protected].
