Lewiston – Lucien A. McGraw, 99, of Lewiston, died Thursday, April 19, at Central Maine Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Lewiston, March 7, 1908, the son of Napoleon and Lydia (Marchand) McGraw, and had been a resident of this community all his life. He was married to the former Blanche Morin, June 16, 1930, and she predeceased him on May 27, 1993.
He was the owner of Norris Towel Supply from 1952 until his retirement in 1973. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Cross Council, former member of the St. Cecilia Boy’s Band, St. Dominic’s Band, The National Guard, 103rd Infantry Band, the Montagnard Club, and the Holy Name Society of St. Peter’s Parish.
He is survived by two sons, Robert McGraw and his wife, Rita, and Normand McGraw and his wife, Jeannine, all of Lewiston; two nieces, Doris Michaud and Irene Gagnon; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by two daughters, Madeleine McGraw in 1988, and Carmen St. Pierre in 2003.
