PARIS – Two people charged with forging $100 bills were arraigned Thursday at Oxford County Superior Court.

Jeremy R. Minnerly, 19, of Norway and Alexandra J. Harris, 22, of Greenwood each pleaded not guilty to aggravated forgery, a Class B felony.

Justice Carl O. Bradford lowered Minnerly’s bail to $1,000 cash and Harris’s to $500 were also given the bail option of posting $5,000 worth of real estate.

Minnerly initially had a $10,000 cash bail and Harris a $20,000 cash bail or $60,000 worth of real estate. Harris also had a $60 bail from a South Paris District Court warrant for unpaid fines.

Minnerly was released on bail in the afternoon after posting property. Harris had not bailed as of 9:45 p.m.

In documents filed in Superior Court, Minnerly and Harris listed Maurice Porter and Sarah Glynn, respectively, as their attorneys. Both suspects have been ordered to appear in court June 19.

Harris was arrested Tuesday and Minnerly on Wednesday, both by officers of the Paris Police Department. The two had attempted to pass the counterfeit $100 bills at fast food restaurants in Paris, police said.

Lt. Michael Dailey of the Paris Police Department said phony bills were also passed at a convenience store in Bryant Pond and the Mini Apple in Paris. Police believe more people are involved in the forgeries and are continuing their investigation.
