I am a resident of Greene, and am very saddened by the lack of courtesy that some Greene residents have for fellow neighbors.

Recently, there was the flooding in Greene and several roads were washed over. Some even clearly had signs that said “Road closed.” There were some people who, showing no consideration for those who live so close to the flooding, got out of their vehicles, moved the signs and drove on through, causing major waves. They gave no thought to the fact that the person living there was probably totally overwhelmed with water in the basement and precious items were destroyed due to such ignorance.

What is this world coming to that people can’t take a moment to think of others, rather than how they could get to where they were going faster? They couldn’t take the long way around?

Is it that we live such a fast-paced life that people have no consideration?
