FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Louise C. Charters, 82, of Fairfield, Conn., beloved wife of the late Harold “Uncle Chick” F. Charters, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

Louise was born in Auburn, daughter of the late Perry and Helen Berry James. She had been a Fairfield resident since 1956.

She worked for Voltarc before the company moved out of Fairfield. She later was a waitress for the Pizza Palace in Fairfield, where she made many friends serving the lunchtime patrons.

Louise was an active member of the Fairfield Senior Center.

Survivors include her loving children, two sons, Larry Bourque and wife, Carol, of Shelton, Conn., and Kenneth F. Charters and wife, Sally, of Naugatuck, Conn.; a daughter, Peggy Foy of Massachusetts; a brother, Robert James of Maine; a sister, Anna Wilding of Auburn; grandchildren, Jody Bourque (Mike) and Corey Bourque (Michele); two additional grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Richard, Kevin and Ryan; a special niece and nephew, Wendy Chisholm and John Charters; and many more nieces and nephews.
