LEWISTON – Marilyn M. Hardy, 70, of Jay died Thursday, April 19, at d’Youville Pavilion following a short illness.
She was born May 22, 1936, in New Vineyard, the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Potter) Hardy. She was a 1953 graduate of Farmington High School.
On Dec. 23, 1956, she married Michael Houlihan in Farmington. They later divorced.
Marilyn worked as a store clerk in many area businesses.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Jay and had been a former member of the local bowling league.
She enjoyed playing cribbage, beano, trivia and working with her computer.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Kelly Houlihan of Jay, Karen Couture and her husband, Dennis, of Jay, and Stacey Bamford and her husband, Howard, of Livermore; a son, Michael Houlihan and his wife, Patrice, of Lewiston; two sisters, Glennis Norton of Farmington, and Sharyn Peabody and her husband, Charles, of The Forks; a brother, Palmer “Bub” Brimigion and his wife, Arlene, of Wilton; her former husband, Michael Houlihan and his wife, Maggie, of Jay; 10 grandchildren, Eric Goding and his wife, Kim, Becky Goding and her fiancé, Dave, Kimberly Brooks and her husband, Chris, Audrey and Tiffany Couture, Stephanie and Devan Houlihan, and Amy, Chad and Brady Bamford; and two great-grandchildren, Megan and Colby Goding.
