Global warming has been proven by science. Climate change is no longer debatable. We see the results all around the world in every country.

Pollution is not just in the air. The oceans, rivers and lakes are polluted by industry and runoff; the soil polluted by manmade chemicals and pesticides. Noise and visual pollution occurs close to cities and towns.

Food and water supplies are being contaminated. There have been cases of contaminated spinach, peanut butter, meats, pet foods and more.

We’re bombarded by pollution, which affects our health – respiratory problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, stress, skin problems, hearing loss, digestion problems, sleep problems and more.

And pollution affects the entire world, just like the war in Iraq. I wonder how much pollution the war is adding to the environment. Someone should do a study on that.

War and pollution are both destructive to humanity. The poor people in Iraq have suffered beyond our comprehension since the U.S. occupation. Most Americans and the world want a quick end to the war the Bush administration created. We must stop the war and save the planet.

Saving the world from the destruction humanity has caused is the war we need to fight. It’s a fight we all need to join. The Bush administration needs to get on board to save the planet.

My grandchildren find global warming scary. The future depends on what we do to save the planet today.
