BRUNSWICK (AP) – The Blue Angels air show will go on as scheduled in Maine this summer following the weekend crash in South Carolina that killed a pilot from the Navy’s aerobatic team.

The Great State of Maine Air Show, featuring the Blue Angels and the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team, will take place Sept. 15 and 16 at the Brunswick Naval Air Station.

Nearly 220,000 people turned out for the last two-day show in 2005 featuring the Navy’s flight team known for its high-speed, aerobatic demonstrations.

Officials are investigating Saturday’s crash of a Blue Angel jet during an air show in Beaufort, S.C.
