Birthday supper

ANDOVER – The annual birthday supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the First Andover Congregational Church.

New salad bar

RUMFORD – The SeniorsPlus salad bar will be open for the first time at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at 50 Congress St. There will be a presentation on gardening for seniors.

Those attending are invited to take their best spring hat and possibly win a prize. There will be raffles, giveaways and the salad bar will be introduced.

Every Friday SeniorsPlus will offer a salad bar at its Rumford location. The menu will vary, with soup, salad and sandwich ingredients, bread and dessert choices each week. Milk and coffee are included.

Reservations are encouraged. Call 364-3572 for reservations and information. A donation of $3 is suggested for those 60 and over; $4 for all others. More information can be found at www.seniorsplus.org.

Meal winners

MEXICO – Guests attending the public supper at the Mexico Congregational United Church of Christ recently were invited to place their names in a drawing for a free dinner at the next supper. Winners were Fern Girardin of Wilton and Maxine Moore of Dixfield. The next supper at the Green Church will be a roast turkey meal on May 12.
