AUBURN – Good Shepherd Food-Bank and the Pampered Chef are working together to fight hunger in Maine. Becky Davis, a local, independent Pampered Chef consultant, recently presented a check for $7,311 to the food bank.

Since every dollar donated enables the agency to provide more than $12.50 in value of food, the donation will equate to more than $91,000 worth of food to hunger relief agencies throughout Maine.

The funds represent customer and consultant donations from the Pampered Chef’s Round Up from the Heart charitable campaign that raises funds for America’s Second Harvest affiliate Food-Banks.

With the work of Pampered Chef independent consultants and customers, the Round-Up from the Heart Campaign has raised more than $11 million to fight America’s growing hunger problem.

The campaign will run through Aug. 31 and is promoted by Pampered Chef consultants at in-home demonstrations. To contribute to the program, customers can round up their order to the nearest dollar or more. Additionally, when customers purchase the Round-Up from the Heart trivet, the Pampered Chef donates $2
