FRYEBURG – Bonita R. Whitney, 64, of Bridgton, died Sunday, April 20, at Hicks Assisted Living Center in Fryeburg..

She was born June 17, 1942, in Bridgton, to Lincoln and Velma Whitehouse. She attended Bridgton schools.

She worked at several area businesses and made many friends. She enjoyed reading the novels of Stephen King and Edgar Rice Burroughs.

She is survived by two brothers, Harvey Elden Whitehouse of Freeport, and Lee Whitehouse and wife, Diana, of North Bridgton; one sister, Beverly Fuller and husband, Cliff, of East Hampton, Conn.; as well as several nieces; nephews; grandnieces; and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and Blanche and Burham Leavitt, who raised her; brother, Charlie; and sisters, Joyce and Shirley.
