LEWISTON – Boxcar Children, the regular season pennant-winner, annexed the post-season championship Monday in the Lewiston Rec Women’s Volleyball League.

The playoffs began with Hunt’s Hill (3) defeating Margarita’s (6), 25-19, 25-13; and Right Stuff (4) eliminating D.C. Electric (5), 21-25, 25-21, 25-23.

In Monday’s semifinal action, Capsawn Designs (2) ousted Hunt’s Hill, 25-19, 25-13, and Boxcar Children (1) eliminated Right Stuff, 25-13, 25-14.

That set up the championship match and Boxcar Children outlasted Capsawn in a rugged 3-game final, 18-25, 25-23, 25-20.
