FARMINGTON – Marguerite H. Bourassa, 98, formerly of Auburn, died peacefully Monday morning at Sandy River Nursing Home, where she had been a resident the past few years.

She was born in Durham, April 23, 1909, the daughter of Thomas and Ada (Penley) Haskins. She attended Auburn schools and had worked during World War II at Bath Iron Works, and following the war, worked in the local shoe industry.

She was a member of both the Robin Dow and First Auburn senior citizens. She enjoyed her grandchildren, travel, and especially going out to eat.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Watson and her husband, Elbridge Sr., of Industry, Barbara E. Jordan and her husband, Donald, of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; as well as three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roland Bourassa, who died Aug. 9, 1970.
