Lewiston Maineiacs rookie Danick Paquette, 16, had X-rays taken Tuesday night for what coaches are calling a “back injury.”

Paquette went to check a Rouyn-Noranda player behind the Huskies’ net and fell awkwardly on his backside. As he was helped off the ice, Paquette did not apply much pressure to his left leg.

Paquette will not be in the lineup tonight for Game 4. The coaching staff has not decided who will take Paquette’s place at forward, though defenseman Marc-Andre Crete would seem to be the leading candidate. Crete has filled in before at wing on the fourth line.
