AUBURN – Clement A. Desjardin, 88, of 12 Sunset Ave., Auburn, died at his home on Tuesday, April 24. Born in Lewiston, Aug. 18, 1918, he was the son of Anthony and Mary Conley Desjardin. Educated locally, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1936.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. In 1943, he was married to the former Mary Connor, who passed away in 1995. He was employed as an office manager at Lippman Poultry in Augusta, and at Reynolds Tree Co. in Auburn, and for many years worked as a funeral director at the Conley Funeral Home in Lewiston. A member of St. Joseph’s Parish, he also belonged to the American Legion, Post 153, and the Elks Club.

Survivors include a brother, John and wife, Mary, of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren, Clement A. “Skip” Desjardin of West Hartford, Conn., Beth and husband, Brian Flynn, of Auburn, and Thomas and wife, Lori-Ann, of Pittsfield; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Ronald; a brother, Dr. Daniel Desjardin; and two sisters, Mary Leeman and Therese O’Toole.
