South Portland – Reynold A. Madore, 73, of Broadway, South Portland, died Tuesday April 24, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Frenchville, son of Leonard and Alice Roy Madore. He was educated in the Frenchville schools. His family moved to the Lewiston area in 1952.

He married Edwina Fraser Feb. 27, 1954. They moved to South Portland in 1966.

He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and going to Aroostook County with his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren.

Over the years he worked for Broadway Gardens, the South Portland School Department, Pine State By-Products, and Sewall Construction.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Edwina Fraser Madore of South Portland; two daughters, Linda J. McLeod and her partner, Tom Corbett, of South Portland, Connie Anderson and her husband, Gerald, of South Portland; five grandchildren, Jeffrey S. McLeod of South Portland, Richard R. McLeod and wife, Amy, of Scarborough, Ryan McLeod and fiance, Shay Duffy, Melissa Hodgkins and husband, Lennie, of Manchester, N.H., and Tabatha Ellsmore and husband, Herb, of South Portland; nine great-grandchildren, Derik, Gavin, Richard III, Balin, Charisma, Riley, Nickolas, Noah and Kendall; and 11 brothers and sisters, Ida, Geraldine, Winnie, Irene, Joan, Therese, Valier, Elmer, Nelson, Roland and Leonard Jr. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Predeceasing him was his brother, Edwin Madore.
