The scoop: Planning Board members are expected to propose several fee increases, as well as changes to the flood plain ordinance, during its regular meeting at 7 p.m. on May 7 at Town Hall.

Property revaluation scheduled for 2008

The issue: The most recent property revaluation was more than 15 years ago, which means tax rates may not accurately reflect property values.

The scoop: Board members Monday approved $30,400 for RJD Appraisal Services, of Pittsfield, to perform a town-wide revaluation in the fall. RJD Appraisal already handles assessing for the town. Greene’s mill rate is $18 per $1,000 of assessed value. Updated tax rates will to take effect when 2008’s tax bills are mailed.
