LIVERMORE – The board of trustees of the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center invites the public to an evening of musical entertainment and light spirits and refreshments Thursday, May 3.

Classical harpist Jara Goodrich will entertain guests with musical selections in the Washburn Mansion while Norlands folk artist Robin Moore sings 19th century songs in the old farmhouse kitchen.

“To preserve and maintain this jewel that was so generously built and eventually presented to Maine communities by the Washburn family, we must succeed with our Third Century Campaign to raise $1 million dollars,” said Mitchell Clyde Thomas, board president.

“These beautiful buildings and their contents are all between 150 and 200 years old,” he said. “They are uniquely situated and arranged to allow the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center to offer a quality educational experience to students of all ages over the past 35 years.”

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. A contribution of $25 per person is requested.
