AUBURN – J.C. Concrete has annexed the playoff championship to the regular season pennant in the Auburn Rec Women’s Slowdown Basketball League. The champs finished the season with a 14-0 record.

In semifinal action Wednesday, Young Ones nipped Hoop Camp (4) 48-47. Amy Lemieux and Elaine Keene both netted 12 points. Pauline Veinott added 10. Kate Morin poured in 22 for the Campers. Tanisha Scottham was right behind with 21.

J.C. Concrete rolled past Old School (3) 61-45 as Lynn Girouard tossed in 21, including seven 3-pointers. Nicole Hutchinson added 9 points. Betsey Sibley paced Old School with 14. Erin Davis added a dozen.

In Thursday’s championship contest, J.C. Concrete defeated Young Ones 52-44. Contributing to the victory were Hutchinson with 7 points and Christine Rivard with 2. Veinott paced Young Ones with 12. Melissa Bilodeau was next with 11.

In earlier playoff action, Old School eliminated Lady Ballers (6) 48-43, and Hoop Camp ousted Laskoff Bashers (5) 36-35.
