Children’s program to note Mexican culture

NORWAY – The Norway Memorial Library Children’s Department will offer another program in the “Board Games and Beyond!” series from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. Friday, May 4, for children in grades one to six. It is an early release day for students in SAD 17.

This month the Children’s Department will celebrate the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo. Children will be able to play Mexican board games, as well as American games, and may choose to create a Huichol Indian yarn painting. Mexican snacks will be available. Parents are welcome.

Space is limited, so parents must preregister by calling the Children’s Department at 743-5308. The Norway Memorial Library is at 258 Main St.
