Artwork, like this watercolor done by Debra Trafton, titled “Jazzed Floral,” has been displayed at Gritty McDuff’s on Main Street, Auburn, throughout the past year. Local artists who participated in L/A Arts’ Art & Ale program contributed some of their pieces for a joint exhibition. Up since mid-March, the artwork will be sold off the walls beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3, when Gritty’s hosts the first Art & Ale Auction. “The artwork is really accessible, and there’s such a wide variety of styles and medium. This auction is a great opportunity to own artwork by artists who may very well be widely sought after in the future,” said Andrew Harris, L/A Arts executive director. Artwork can also be viewed online at www.laarts.org. Tickets for the Art & Auction fundraiser are $10. They can be purchased in advance by calling 782-7228, or going online to the L/A Arts Web site.
