LEWISTON – Jeanne H. Labbe, 83, of 78 Wellman St., in Lewiston, died Saturday, April 28, at Russell Park Rehabilitation Facility, with family at her side.

She was born May 4, 1923, in St. Henedine, P.Q., Canada, a daughter of Joseph and Apolline (Grenier) St. Hilaire. She grew up in this community, was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of the Lewiston-Auburn area.

She was first married on June 22, 1946 to Joseph Leo Bolduc, who passed away in December 1970. On Aug. 3, 1973, she married Roger Labbe at Saints Peter and Paul Church and together they made their home in Lewiston.

She first worked for a number of years at Raytheon, then spent some time working for RCA and later worked many years for Maine Research, until her retirement. She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and among her favorite enjoyments was listening to and playing music, especially classical. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted wife who will be missed dearly by her family.

She leaves her devoted husband, who stood by her side with patience and love, Roger Labbe of Lewiston; two daughters, Irene Pelletier, and husband, Tom, of Turner and Claire Fickett of Lewiston; her son, Paul Bolduc, and wife, Julie, of Bloomington, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Randy Donovan, and wife, Patricia, Shawn Donovan, Adam Pelletier and companion, Lindsy Engelheart, Ryan Bolduc, and companion, Meaghan Turcotte, Sara Fickett, Shelby Bolduc, Spencer Lancaster, Lauren Lancaster and Reilly Bolduc; 11 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon, Cody and Ryan Donovan, Samantha Sawyer, Trent and Caitlyn Donovan, Abigale Terreri, Chloe and Gabrielle Bolduc and Tyrese Koumou-Nete; two brothers-in-law, Romeo Corriveau of Lewiston and Norman Caron of Auburn; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

As the last of 13 children, she was predeceased by seven sisters, Marie Poulin, Cecile Ledoux Sirous, Antoinette Labbe, Rose Berube, Theresa Corriveau, Gabrielle Lefebvre and Lorette Caron; and five brothers, Rene, Adrien, Paul, Eugene and Donald St. Hilaire.
